SHORT STORIES – POEMS – GUEST POSTS – TRAVELOGUES – MIDNIGHT MUSING – YOUR STORY – MORNING MOTIVATION
With everyone sitting at home, in the midst of this pandemic, I can understand how difficult it has been to adapt to this new lifestyle…how challenging it is to generate optimism…how confusing it is to find a purpose for ourselves. So, I thought to revive our this dormant blog “The Floating Thoughts” and use it for what it was created in the first place: Share our thoughts floating in our heart and mind.

Though I am physically present within the four walls of my room, sitting at the table, and vigorously hitting the keypad of my laptop to push through the thoughts that had been swirling in my mind for the last couple of days, I feel an uncanny sense of connection with you; “You” meaning each human being.
It seems as if I know you a little bit better, now. This is strange since You are living in some corner of the world, far away from me; maybe we might never even meet, yet I feel your emotions.
Let me explain this a little bit more or you may think this guy has gone completely mad, haha…
In the current situation, every human being’s journey has interestingly become the SAME. There are no more localised issues such as family fights, company politics, class competition, religion issues, casteism pride, and whatnot. They have seemingly disappeared for the moment. Don’t you agree?
Well if you disagree then just close your eyes for a second and think what is the most you want now?
See, that was easy, you just want to return to your old lives; So, yes today we all are sailing in one ship, no matter where we are, no matter who we are and thus we all are in the same sea journeying together in our own separate space.
All of a sudden the entire human race is now together in all true sense and what is left is just compassion and hope in our heart. This compassion and hope are connecting each and every one of you. You are no more what you thought you were; You are JUST A HUMAN. You are Me and I am You. We are all alike with flesh and bone, trying to survive together.
As the 14th Dalai Lama says in his book, “NO MATTER WHAT PART OF THE WORLD we come from, fundamentally we are all the same human beings. We all have essentially the same needs and similar concerns. “
So, today I leave you with a thought – who are you but another flesh and bone that makes up me and the rest of us? So why have we been thinking superior to others and made the rest feel inferior? So, why have we thought we are doing something valuable than the rest? So, why did we think our existence was more meaningful than others? Aren’t we just a distorted reflection of the others?
Share your Quiet thoughts and spread the love.
Be Strong. Be Safe. Do Epic.
