Unsaid

By Dee Kay

There are unsaid messages even in the words I write,

There are complicated versions of what is wrong and what is right.

I retrieve to the pen and paper when the world stops making sense,

Everyone is so different yet they all want to see you through the same lens.

Success has been define in a one dimensional tone,

But the one who succeed in their own way the world wants him dethrone.

Too many people trying to be someone they are not,

As if playing in a casino testing their luck on the slot.

There are unsaid stories even in the words I write,

They giving the strength to win or to carry on even after a defeat in a fight.

I am a poet jolting with this rhyme to make some sense,

trying to get rid of some impurities and to get my soul cleanse.

The pressure of the world gets to me at times as it set a different tone,

What you see and hear is the aftermath of the inside cyclone.

You can imagine but that won’t make you understand what I am not,

Cause you won’t see everything as you’re not in my spot.

There are unsaid feelings even in the words I write,

They are in a battle with the demons for this night.
