I stand in the midst of my delirious predicament, at one end I stare at the receding dawn while at the other I watch the approaching twilight. I could relate more to the fading lights of the sun that leave a hue of hope within me. I hate the advancing dusk that diffuses the lingering hope and replaces it with a sea of quagmires. My restless heart looks for a pause among the continual beats. My mind longs for peace beyond those unanswerable questions. I feel lost as the sun leaves me taking my fragile strength with itself. I hate the moon that smiles along with the stars at my vulnerabilities. I stay float at the interface wherein the last ray of sun kisses the tip of the first incandescence of the moon. I plead the twilight to take me away with it while the shimmers of the stars cage me.
Lost in my own dilemma, I run after the sun, failing to notice that the moon keeps soothing my resentment for it with her soft shimmers.
Obscured in my own desires, I rush for the sun that walks away without saying goodbye and abandon the stars that wait on me with their glimmers, hoping to get a smile back.
Veiled in my own preconceived notion, I cry for the sun, without realizing that the moon was all that my silly heart ever desired.
Have you lost your Moon and stars in the chase for the Sun?
It’s time to go back to the people who await you rather than running for the one who has already moved on from you!
