The Journey of Two-Misfits by Dee Kay

The Journey of Two-Misfits

By Dee Kay

(A dedication to my brother in pen, Roy, and the struggles we have seen in our respective lives and also, as friends)

The journey of their lives began with a dream,

Two small town kids looking for a place to fit.

One studied hard to find a place for himself as a misfit,

The other failed at every step and falling down the pit.

The misfit was being pulled down by others,

The failure had enough so he was no longer being bothered.

The misfit tried to climb back up but was thrown back to the bottom,

The failure didn’t even try as he already knew the outcome.

They suffered in their loneliness and wished for some change,

unknown of each other as they tried to seek help from people too strange.

Then fate planned a meeting on a crossroad of their lives,

In a phase where friends were leaving them without anything for them to revive.

They had walls around them to protect what’s broken inside,

They talked as if they knew each other all this while.

They penned their pain and sorrow to create something new,

Something that everyone appreciate but understood by few.

Miles apart they lived in their own fantasy,
In the end they left their mark and it became their legacy.
