In Memories of Love

The pain of losing someone is can never be expressed,
The pain is always felt against the soul as it pressed.
Let me walk you down the road of my aching heart,
Someone would just laugh while others might just find their own parts.
I was young and stupid when she smiled at me from a distance,
my heart skipped a beat as I walked towards in an instance.
Things carried on as we free ourselves to fall in love for the first time,
love’s spells were strong as our fates agreed and she was mine.
The time of our happiness started to run away,
The sadness of the world sneaked in while there was nothing I could say.
From smiling at me from a distance to walking towards her in an instance,
We reached a point with no more substance.
The love drift away alongside her as I gazed at her going sight,
I wanted to scream and yell even as I knew this wasn’t right.
The love that I had was not worth what it would cost,
In the course to be with her it was me who was lost.
Lost in the maze of denial and dreaming about the happily ever after,
That even couldn’t find the voice for my own laughter.
This is my story as I recall it from the grave of my soul,
Thinking about the day when I will feel whole; once again.
