Write Me a Song

By Dee Kay

Write me a song that I can play when I am down and low,
turn me into the lyrics that would go with the flow.

Let those untold feeling unravel in front of my naked eyes,

Tell me the stories of when you felt vulnerable amidst the lies.

The truth of your heart would unchain your broken soul,

It might just give me a reason to be whole.

As we let our painful past go away with this song,

We would just be happy after so long.

Write me a song that would bring a smile to my face,

turn me into the lyrics that would go with my pace.

Let those words shine even in the darkest of corners of our being,

Tell me about your childhood places and the sight you have been seeing.

The untamed truth of your past will unleash your innocence again,

It might just be enough for some love for us to gain.

As we walk into the future hand in hand and love within,

We would just be lucky to give ourselves that fighting chance in this world full of sin.

Write me a song that would make us immortal in this universe,

turn me into poem that would sing my souls verse.
