Night Rambling #13

From the pages of Dee Kay’s life

Hey peeps!!

There are moments in life where you have to decide what kind of a person do you want to be in this world. The people in this world can be brutal as well as generous so it depends on you as to what you wish to sink in and what you wish to ignore as these small gestures and thoughts shape you along-with your future. I have seen many nasty and selfish people that I have lost the count years ago. I have been used, exploited, and mentally abused by people who I thought were friends. This made me a bitter person for sometime but then it’s not in my nature to measure everyone with the same scale. Yes, there would be moments in the future where someone else would take advantage of my kindness but that defines him/her not me. That’s what I believe in and will always do.

I started the day early, making sure I have enough time to do the morning routine. The weather is changing and I could feel the winter approaching. So everyday I take some time to get out of bed cause if I get out immediately after waking up then my body starts reacting to the sudden change in body temperature, making me go into a fit of sneezing. This ruins the start of my day also if the sneezing doesn’t stop within couple of minutes then it won’t stop the whole day making me take some anti-allergic meds which makes me really lazy the whole day.

So after I calculatingly evaded the sneezing I proceeded to make the breakfast for the family. From yesterday, I have been trying to experiment with morning dishes. So I made a simple masala paneer (cottage cheese) sandwiches and my parents actually loved it so that was good. Then I received a call from a Facebook friend who needed my help regarding self publishing on amazon. So I explained to her everything I know and then I was done with being social for the day. The next task involved me sitting on the chair for a long period of time so I got myself a cup full of strong black coffee and an ashtray.

I sat in my room and began editing the initial chapters of the upcoming book. I hate editing but it is needed so I cannot make any excuses so just to entertain myself I start playing some “Celtic Music” on YouTube. The music made me relax and be lost in my own world. I had rejoined social media as I have started creating buzz for the upcoming book. I just hope the buzz gets converted into downloads. Roy & I, don’t write to earn but to make people wander off into our fictional world.

I have been editing and writing from last 7-8 hours with few breaks in between and a lot of cigarettes to go along. I am mentally exhausted but I still have a lot to write so I would just call it a day on the website and get back to writing. Also, I wrote a poem and posted it today. In case you missed out on it here is a hyperlink for the poem named, “The Girl and The Star”

I guess that’s it for today.

So this Dee Kay singing off.

  1. Beautiful poem. My husband and I were out swimming last night and up in the night ski here in Arizona there was a shooting star. My husband always sees them so he made another wish. Cottage cheese for breakfast sounds yummy, I will have to try this with my family. This morning I made my son and daughter peanut butter and jelly wrapped in tortillas. Hope your allergies get better and that you have a easy winter season this year.

    • That’s really great.. I hope you had a fantastic time together. 😊
Your husband sounds like a person who likes to dream.. That’s one awesome quality to have in a person 🤗

Cottage cheese is actually great.. Though I don’t know if the kids would love it but everyone else should be able to enjoy the healthy breakfast.. Peanut butter and jelly sounds yummy 😋

Thank you so much love.. 💞

      Warm Regards,
      Dee Kay

PS – Sorry for replying late.

  2. Dee, for your sneezing- change your pillowcase and sheets 2 times a week, or wash them. Its sounds hectic but it’s one of the many reasons for allergies. I spent 2 years sneezing without knowing all this.
And read your poem, as usual – it’s stellar 🙂
