Two Broken Souls By Dee Kay

A broken soul was what she was called by some,

Searching for her happy ending which was yet to come.

She knocked on doors to get some peace for her heart,

Even though she closed her heart door as someone has broken it into parts.

She had trust issues and a broken smile to go along,

Her soul was shattered while her heart sang the sad song.

Piece by piece she tried to glue herself back to whole,

Was it peace of love that she searched within her soul.

Destiny had it’s laugh while leaving her in pain,

Yet she tried to live on even though there was nothing more to gain.

Then she stumble upon a stranger’s door,

She walked in with caution as he was unknown.

Slowly slowly he helped her be whole again,

Two broken souls mending each other through love and pain.

She no longer had a broken smile to go along with her issues,

She no longer needed to wipe her tears with tissues.

They fell for each other without even knowing,

Even though faith had another future for showing.

They both couldn’t be together so they gave up on their dream of each other,

Yet the love and respect stayed with them forever.

He would always be the one who would be by her side as he promised,

In his poetry their love would always cherish.

She is and will always be his favorite muse,

In this life or the future one she would always be the one he chose.

She is beautiful not because of her pretty face,

She is beautiful because of what her heart and soul chase.
